Bone density measurement

Bone density describes the ratio of mineralized bone substance to a defined bone volume, which changes with age.
Bone density measurement (osteodensitometry) is a medical-technical procedure in which the mineral salt content of the bone is determined.
The values determined provide a doctor with information on whether a patient has osteoporosis.
